Ms. Dieu Mo Lue (Son Hoa village, Tho Son commune, Bu Dang district) said: "Her family has 7 hectares of cashew. In 2016, she joined the Fomexco Organic Cashew Cooperative. After joining the cooperative, she was trained in techniques and supported with fertilizers to take care of the cashew garden using organic methods to improve the quality of cashew nuts, increasing productivity from 1.5 tons/ha to 2.5 tons/ha".

Ms. Dieu Mo Lue shared: “In recent years, the cooperative has cooperated with Fomexco Joint Stock Company to buy cashew nuts at a price 800 VND/kg higher than the market price. After deducting expenses, my family makes a profit of over 250 million VND/year”.

Similarly, Mr. Dieu Gia Ru (Son Tho village, Tho Son commune, Bu Dang district) shared: “In the past few years, due to unfavorable weather, my family's one hectare of cashew only yielded about 1.5 tons/ha. But since joining the cooperative, I have been trained by the cooperative's staff on organic planting and care techniques, and the cooperative has purchased cashew trees at a price higher than the market price, so my family has a profit of more than 50 million VND/year. In addition, my family has also been supported with fertilizers, participated in specialized training sessions on organic farming and developing green agriculture and sustainable agriculture organized by the cooperative”.

Talking about the linkage in production and consumption of cashew products for people in Bu Dang district - Binh Phuoc province, Mr. Do Huy Thang - Director of Fomexco Organic Cashew Cooperative informed: "The cooperative currently has 390 members. Every year, the cooperative coordinates with Fomexco Joint Stock Company to purchase about 3,000 tons of cashews for members and people at a price about 8.00 VND/kg higher than the market price"

The majority of cashew growers in the area are ethnic minority households, with limited farming skills and little investment in fertilizers and techniques. In recent years, the cooperative has regularly coordinated with Fomexco Joint Stock Company and the district's Department of Agriculture, and the People's Committees of communes to organize technical training to improve farming and production skills for members and people.

From 2019 to present, the Cooperative has coordinated with Fomexco Joint Stock Company to provide 30,000 high-yield cashew seedlings and fertilizers for members to replant on old cashew areas to increase productivity, improve product quality, increase income, contribute to promoting the development of the cashew industry, and promote green and sustainable agricultural development in the area.
